A definite cut policy on Quality Assurance and Quality control are a must for just about any good wet processing industry. Starting from fiber to finished goods there are numerous inputs and outputs. A systematic qc procedure is crucial to eradicate final quality problems of dyeing and finishing.
For example the cotton fiber test - for it maturity, staple length, color, moisture content etc determines what quality of ultimate yarn and thereafter the fabric, the unit is going to produce. The physical tests including TPI, Tensile strength, CSP etc. and EPI and PPI foretell the grade of yarn and fabric respectively.
The final quality of finished products might be assured if proper qc measures are adopted in testing the incoming dyestuff and chemicals regularly. The process to do these tests is though not a complicated, a proper guidance is important.
Textile fabric or yarn before heading for one more phase of processing, eg., garmenting or weaving/knitting, should be tested for your required quality standards stipulated by the buyer. The tests like wash fastness, rubbing fastness, anti-staining properties, fire resistant, water repellent etc need to be conducted from the in-house laboratory along with a prior assessment should be made before sending the product or service for 3rd party testing.
